A significant leadership change is underway at S&P Dow Jones Indices as Catherine Clay has been announced as the new CEO, set to take the helm on November 1, 2025. She will succeed Dan Draper, who will continue to provide counsel in the role of Special Advisor for a time following the transition.

Her extensive experience encompasses a broad range of areas, including derivatives markets, digital assets, data analytics, and financial technology.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Clay stated that she feels honored to be appointed as CEO. She emphasized her eagerness to lead a team dedicated to creating reliable benchmarks for investors and expressed a commitment to continuing the strong legacy of S&P DJI as a leading provider of indices.

As she steps into this pivotal role, Clay’s background and skill set are expected to contribute significantly to the ongoing development and enhancement of S&P Dow Jones Indices in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
