Cboe Japan has announced significant updates regarding its operations, with its final trading day in the Japan equities market set for August 29, 2025. Following this date, the company will cease all billing activities. Consequently, participants can anticipate that the last invoice they will receive will be issued in the first week of September, correlating with transactions completed up to the date of their operation halt.
To assist clients in managing their records, the Cboe Japan Client Web Portal will remain accessible until September 12, 2025. This extension allows participants ample opportunity to download any final or previous invoices alongside other relevant trading data prior to the complete shutdown of service.
From August 30, 2025, the information available on Cboe Japan’s corporate website will no longer be updated, with a few exceptions. Important communications such as Market Notices will still be disseminated as needed along with publications related to PTS Margin Trading. However, static data— including the Tick-Table file, Securities Master Files, and Daily Reports—will be available until the website is eventually taken down.
Additionally, once the website is removed, all remaining materials that are part of the proprietary trading system and related to Cboe BIDS Japan block trading will also be eliminated from the Cboe.com site. This includes the Market Notices page, ending the digital footprint of the Cboe Japan operations.
Overall, this transition marks a significant conclusion for Cboe Japan and its operations in the Japanese equities market, as the company prepares to wind down its business activities. Participants are encouraged to take note of these dates and ensure they retrieve all necessary data prior to the facility’s closure.
