A notable leadership change has occurred at DHF Capital, a securitization firm based in Luxembourg, with the appointment of Menno Kooistra as the Chairman of its supervisory board. This transition takes effect this month. Kooistra brings significant experience from his former role as Executive Vice President at Rabobank, where he served from October 2019 until January 2023.
Prior to his current position, Kooistra was a partner at KPMG, focusing on strategy and operations specifically within the financial services sector, from January 2023 to October 2025. His extensive consulting career spans nearly three decades and includes past partner roles at EY as well as a Vice President position at CGI. Kooistra expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, emphasizing his commitment to collaborating with the management team to enhance the firm’s strategy and governance while achieving its long-term objectives.
DHF Capital has recently made headlines with strategic partnerships, including a collaboration with the UAE-based broker Tauro Markets aimed at broadening its reach in the Middle East. The addition of Kooistra to the board reflects the ongoing developments in the retail trading sector, particularly following the appointment of David Perry as Chief Technology Officer at IG Group, underscoring similar trends in C-level transitions within the industry.
The Chief Executive Officer of DHF Capital, Bas Kooijman, noted that Kooistra’s extensive knowledge and experience align perfectly with the firm’s ambitions for growth and innovation in asset management. Earlier this year, the company celebrated a remarkable milestone, reporting a trading volume of $1 billion, demonstrating its robust market performance.
DHF Capital, which was established in 2020, specializes in managing assets for both institutional clients and high-net-worth individuals. The firm has expanded its operations, currently maintaining offices not only in Luxembourg but also in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Lithuania, and the UAE.
In addition to his role at DHF Capital, Kooistra holds a position on the supervisory board of Woningstichting Barneveld, where he has served since January 2018. His previous supervisory experience also includes a tenure at a local Rabobank branch from January 2013 to January 2020. Through these roles, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to governance and strategic oversight, aligning well with the growth trajectory of DHF Capital.
