The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has recently expanded its Board of Directors by adding two notable professionals from the financial services sector.

Cenk Kamis has been appointed from Citi, where he holds the position of Chief Financial Officer for Citibank N.A. He also leads the Finance Transformation initiative at Citi, which encompasses its extensive network of branches and subsidiaries across 95 countries. Prior to becoming CFO, Kamis was the Chief Risk Officer for Finance; in this capacity, he oversaw risk management for the Finance division as well as enterprise financial risks within the organization. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services arena, Kamis has taken on various senior leadership roles spanning Finance and Treasury functions.

Laide Majiyagbe has joined the board from BNY, where she serves as Managing Director and the Global Head of Financing, Liquidity, and Collateral. In her current role, she is responsible for managing the cash ecosystem related to money markets, deposits, and short-term investment opportunities at BNY. Furthermore, she oversees the firm’s Global Securities Financing businesses, providing clients with strategies to optimize asset earnings and secure financing. Majiyagbe boasts a decade of expertise in the industry, having held various leadership positions focused on liquidity, financing, and collateral management.

The DTCC’s Board of Directors now consists of 20 members. This group includes 12 participant Directors who represent clearing agency members such as international brokerage firms, custodian and clearing banks, and investment institutions. Additionally, the board includes four non-participant Directors, two Directors appointed by the organization’s preferred shareholders, ICE and FINRA, as well as the Non-Executive Chairman and the President and Chief Executive Officer.

These additions to the board aim to enrich the governance and expertise of DTCC, drawing on the extensive backgrounds of the new members in their respective fields. Both Kamis and Majiyagbe bring substantial knowledge of finance, risk management, and operational efficiency, which will contribute to DTCC’s mission to provide critical services and streamline the clearing and settlement processes in the financial markets.
