by FXInsider

This week has seen several prominent changes in leadership across various companies in the financial services sector. Notable transitions include the addition of Achilleas Achilleos as Chief Marketing Officer at Alchemy Markets, following his departure from BDSwiss amid significant workforce reductions. Achilleos brings a wealth of nearly 20 years of marketing expertise, previously serving in a similar capacity at BDSwiss for over two years. Alchemy Markets operates as a broker focusing on forex and Contracts for Differences (CFDs), and is regulated in both Seychelles and Malta.

Additionally, Trading 212 witnessed a notable shift as Andrew Bole stepped down from his position as Non-Executive Chairman. This departure concludes a four-and-a-half-year era of overseeing the firm’s expansion across international markets. Bole has previously earned acclaim in the finance industry, having held numerous high-profile roles prior to his tenure at Trading 212.

Spotware Systems also experienced a leadership change with Denis Kiselev resigning from his role as Chief Product Officer. After more than a year at the technology provider known for its cTrader platform, Kiselev’s exit signals a new chapter for the company. He had managed product strategy and development, contributing significantly to the platform that handles substantial daily trading volume for numerous retail brokers.

In another significant development, Bakkt appointed Akshay Naheta as co-CEO, partnering with Andy Main. The firm simultaneously announced a collaboration with Distributed Technologies Research aimed at advancing stablecoin payments within its trading infrastructure. Naheta’s extensive background in finance and technology, including senior roles at SoftBank, positions him well to influence Bakkt’s strategic direction in the digital asset space.

Meanwhile, Swissquote’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Jan De Schepper, has been elected as the new President of the Swiss Advertisers Association (SWA). De Schepper’s extensive experience in branding and marketing is expected to drive the association towards modernization, focusing on innovation in advertising strategies as the industry adapts to ongoing digital transformations and changing consumer behaviors.

In the realm of personnel movements, Natasha Kassar transitioned to YaMarkets as Regional Sales Manager after previously serving as CEO at TrioMarkets MENA for over two years. Kassar’s career also features a stint as the Head of Business Development at EverestCM, highlighting her diverse experience in the financial services sector.

Lastly, Catharine Ioannou has joined Kudotrade as its Global Head of Human Resources. Her previous HR leadership experience spans companies like BDSwiss and SquaredFinancial, and she will be responsible for steering Kudotrade’s talent strategy and workplace culture as it continues to expand its global footprint across more than 130 countries.

These executive changes reflect a dynamic landscape within the financial and trading sectors, as firms adapt to evolving circumstances, strategic goals, and opportunities in the marketplace.
