by FXInsider

Trading Technologies International Inc. (TT), a leading provider of multi-asset platforms, has announced the promotion of Justin Llewellyn-Jones to the role of CEO, effective from March 31. Llewellyn-Jones brings three decades of fintech and financial services experience to this new position, having previously served as the Chief Operating Officer at TT since January 2024.

The company’s former CEO, who has successfully led TT through a significant growth phase, will continue to play a pivotal role as a member of the Board of Directors and has been appointed Deputy Chairman.

Carsten Kengeter, the Chairman of TT, shared insights on the leadership transition, emphasizing the impressive achievements under the former CEO’s guidance. The company not only fulfilled its five-year objectives within three years but also established itself as a leader in listed derivatives and expanded into new asset classes. Four complementary companies were acquired and integrated, along with the launch of six new lines of business, which are expected to spur further growth. With Llewellyn-Jones taking over, Kengeter anticipates that the remarkable growth trajectory will be sustained.

The departing CEO reflected on the changes and growth experienced during his tenure, crediting the talented global team and experienced leadership put in place as the foundation of the company’s success. He noted that the business had doubled in size over three years and recognized Llewellyn-Jones’s deep industry expertise as a natural fit for the CEO role. He expressed gratitude to clients, partners, and employees for their support during his leadership.

In his remarks, Llewellyn-Jones acknowledged the strong foundation built under the previous leadership and emphasized the company’s focus on customer relationships, innovation, and digitization. He plans to maintain a steady course while remaining adaptable to the evolving market, stressing that the commitment to improving processes and delivering superior services will be ongoing.

Llewellyn-Jones has a robust background in fintech, having worked in prominent financial hubs like London and New York. Before his role at TT, he was the Chief Product Officer at Broadridge, a position he held since early 2022. Prior to that, he oversaw capital markets operations in North America, which included equities, FX, and derivatives. His experience also includes significant leadership roles at ION and Fidessa, where he drove product strategy and managed derivative operations. Llewellyn-Jones’s career began at NatWest and has included various roles that have built his expertise in the field.

Trading Technologies itself is renowned for its cutting-edge technology offerings that cater to the trading operations of a diverse range of clients, including Tier 1 banks, brokerages, hedge funds, and commodity trading advisors. The firm specializes in delivering solutions that span multiple asset classes, functionalities, and geographic markets. Its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) framework provides innovative tools for trade execution, data analytics, compliance, and risk management, among others. Additionally, the award-winning TT platform supports exchanges in providing advanced solutions to their participants.

As Llewellyn-Jones steps into this leadership role, the company appears well-positioned to continue its trajectory of growth and innovation in the financial technology landscape.
