A new appointment has been made at a CFD brokerage, as Catharine Ioannou steps into the role of Global Head of Human Resources. With extensive experience in the field, particularly in leadership roles at BDSwiss and SquaredFinancial, she is set to play a critical part in shaping the global talent strategy and workplace culture of the firm, which operates in more than 130 countries.
Ioannou’s previous roles include being the Human Resources Officer and later the Global Head of Human Resources at BDSwiss, where she spent five years enhancing the HR framework of the organization. After her tenure there, she led the HR division at SquaredFinancial for almost two years, gaining further expertise to bring to her new position.
The Chief Marketing Officer expressed excitement over Ioannou’s joining the team, citing her deep knowledge of the financial industry and proven HR strategy experience as crucial assets in fortifying the company’s workforce. Her vision is to enact impactful people strategies that promote a vibrant organizational culture, aligned with the ambitions of the firm for global excellence.
The brokerage has established a physical presence in three countries and is regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius. It provides CFD trading services through various entities registered in different jurisdictions, including Mauritius, Saint Lucia, and Cyprus. The company’s commitment extends beyond merely offering exceptional trading experiences for clients; it also emphasizes creating a work environment that nurtures employee success.
Even though the brand was established only in 2024, it has swiftly made significant strides in the industry by recruiting noted experts from other firms. Notably, in October, Konstantinos Chrysikos joined as the Director and Head of Customer Relations after working at CAPEX.com. Similarly, Marc Olivier transitioned from Amana Capital and Zenfinex to take on the role of Head of Brokerage, demonstrating the company’s focus on building a well-rounded team of professionals.
Overall, Catharine Ioannou’s arrival marks an essential development in the brokerage’s ongoing efforts to expand and strengthen its operations on a global scale, fostering a culture of growth and excellence within the organization.
